The positive effect of gelatine hydrolysate as an oral delivery vehicle of collagen building blocks for cartilage is known from numerous human studies. Therefore, a diet with especially modifi ed gelatine is essential for patients suffering from arthrosis. Two doctoral dissertations at the University of Veterinary Medicine Hanover show that feeding gelatine hydrolysate has a positive effect on the growth of skeleton, hair, cartilage, and hoof horn of weanlings and that a supplementation of gelatine has a positive effect on the bone and cartilage metabolism of horses. This means that the development of skeletal diseases (chips/ OCD) can be reduced by an optimum feed component.
Joinol® has all the necessary nutrients a horse needs for a well-functioning metabolism of its locomotor system and for the development of bone and cartilage. Furthermore, it contains valuable plant extracts from field horsetail, golden rod, comfrey and boswellia.
