Dietetic complementary feed, liquid, for horses and ponies for the compensation of electrolyte loss in the cases of heavy sweating as well as for foals for the stabilisation of water and electrolyte balance.
Strenuous exercise (e.g. intensive training or competitions) leads to heavy sweating especially in summer resulting in electrolyte loss. Sluggishness and exhaustion, sometimes even muscle spasms are normal body reactions, if the lost substances (electrolytes, vitamins and quickly available energy sources) are not replaced. The supplementation of these electrolyte losses is therefore essential for the horses organism and for the willingness to perform of sport horses.
You can detect an electrolyte deficiency in the organism, if you pull up a loose fold of skin on your horses neck and it takes a very long time to return to its normal state. Thanks to its special composition of electrolytes, valuable vitamins, amino acids and trace elements Sodilyt® compensates this deficiency.
For the immediate electrolyte supply (e.g. on the showground between competitions) we recommend Actilyt® paste in the handy oral injector. Foals suffering from diarrhoea lose an enormous amount of water and electrolytes that have to be supplemented as soon as possible. Without electrolytes the body is unable to store water and the animals get dehydrated although they drink a lot.

Composition
Feeding recommendation:
For the compensation of electrolyte loss in case of fluid loss (sweating) e.g. after physical exertion:
Horse (600 kg): 20-40 ml daily
Pony (300 kg): 10-20 ml daily
Add to feed or drinking water. Offer drinking water ad lib.
Recommended feeding duration: 1-3 days.
Foal (50-300 kg): At the risk of, during or after
digestive disorders (diarrhoea) according to age
and weight: add 20-40 ml to the drinking water
or use oral injector.
Recommended feeding duration: 1-7 days
